Unhappy

Hi, Im jons brother, got a prob with a mates Subaru...just replaced the front crank oil seal and within 2 days the seal has gone again, its actually being pushed out the recess and against the timing belt sprocket and therefore chucking out the oil.
What can cause this..Im going to clean out the breathers but I heard mentioned that the bolts on the rear of the pump can work loose..would this actually cause the seal to be forced out?? Is it worth me taking the pump off??
Also...whats involved with the breathers, is there a catch tank or breather filter anywhere that i should know about
Answers to any of these probs would be greatly appreciated..

you would have to check, but I think Andy Forrest lost a few seals before discovering a cracked piston ring. iirc , his car still drove the same but he had noticed the knocklink a bit noisier.

Do a compression test..!!

Make sure you do it properly i.e with all the spark plugs out..
