Hi everyone!

Just got a brand new STI and, while in general it is great, I have noticed a few odd things.

There is a nasty metallic sound that I can hear at low speed (could be happening at higher speed too, but the background noise drowns it out) when I accelerate. It is especially bad if I lift off the throttle around 4000rpm.

There is also a juddering around 4000rpm during constant driving. I especially noticed it on German autobahns while cruising between 100 and 120mph (no really!). When I accelerate, everything runs smoothly again.

There doesn't seem to be any loss of power, but I haven't really got anything to compare it against. Full throttle is great fun.

My girlfriend took it into the dealer and they claim that this is normal for an STI, which I find difficult to believe. Can anyone provide me with a few clues to beat them around the head with?

Ta much in advance,

Rich

You mention that its brand new and full throttle is great fun!
It would be a good idea to run it in for a thousand miles first realy.
