Just purchased an oil filter for my 965 wrx turbo , from a subaru dealer ,just read the box its in and it says its for a lagacy the number on the box is 15208aa024 does this sound right or have i been given the incorrect filter

yes it is Ok, the part number has changed as this item will fit virtually all scooby models,barring for justy, and the new 03 my turbo's who use a micro small filter then wouldnt strain tea leaves !

Some people will have a shock when they see the new size oil filter, its tiny.....................

Indeedy. Makes the advice to change oil every 3-4K miles even more pertinent IMHO.
