Question

Just been to look at a Type RA, and have a few questions
it was fitted with some upgraded STI parts,
STI paddle clutch,
STI exhaust,
STI rear plate(?) diff
STI suspension

now when we went to test drive it and the guy reversed it up in a laybay for me to get in, there seemed to be some rattling going on from the 'plate' diff.
The guy said it was a combination of the paddle clutch and the rear plate diff, and that they always make a lot of noise, and that i'd notice it more when manoeuvring /parking etc.
when driving, it was perfectly silent.

should it sound rattly when reversing?
also i noticed the electronic diff wheel was all the way at the top (the white line was towards the rear of the car)
could this also make it make a lot of noise??

thanks!
