Wink

Looking at getting a decat downpipe for my P1, prior to it's remap and was wondering which is the quietest....

Had a Scoobysport one on my MY00 - all very splendid etc but very noisy and it just drove me to distraction in the end. Is there one that is noticably quieter than the rest or will I just have to cover it in exhaust wrap?

Simon

Wrapping the downpipe makes quite a difference.

Believe quietest is BPM, but as Pete says, wrapping makes a hell of a difference.

Wrapping makes a hell of a difference, but not as much as simply having a BPM does
But they're $£&£^$&£"$%^" expensive!

15m of 2" wide wrap does the business Simon. And it does make the difference.

Simon, what centre and BB do you have. Is it still the STI ones?

When you say noisey, what do you mean exactly?

I have a TSL decat downpipe and centre mated to my STI backbox and it's very quiet. The only noise you hear from the DP is the woosh from the wastegate. It's very subtle inside the cabin.

Personally, I think the backbox makes a huge difference to the overall sound from the rest of the zorst.
