Is the prodrive bb for the my00 exactly the same as the standard one fitted on a P1?

No.

P1 BB is same as STi 5/6. Stainless, but not straight through design. Not very noisy and does not breath as well as Prodrive one

The standard P1 backbox is the same as the STi 5/6 version. This is basically the standard steel exhaust with a single pipe instead of the twin. The visible part of the pipe has a chromed cover and is stamped "STi".

The Prodrive PPP backbox (made by Scorpion I believe) is a full stainless unit that is both freer flowing and noisier than the standard

The Prodrive P1 upgrade backbox looks the same as the PPP unit and is also stainless steel. It is, however, less restrictive again than the PPP one.

The standard P1 backbox makes a nice "visual" upgrade to a standard UK 99/00 and makes a slightly better noise but it is not a "performance" upgrade.

 

Ah, I think it is the P1 upgrade box I have then. Looks the same as the ppp one, but with a big P1 etched on it.

I was supplied it in error after the baffles went in my ppp one (under warranty). If it's better I think i'll keep my trap shut
