Resonator in Centre Section
Same boat as you James.
My g/f's Impreza sounds good on light throttle but when opened up it sounds like a Boeing. She likes it ironically but wouldn't mind it being quieter.
I have the original system sitting around, I've thought about sticking the original centre section back on with the resonator but it does appear to look quite restrictive.
Anybody else done this?

Adding a resinator shouldn't affect power greatly.
De catting the centre doesn't add much power and a resinator is still a de catt - just quieter.
Spoon,
The original centre is a cat not a resinator box - and is therefore a lot more restrictive than just a resinator box.
