After a bit of spirted driving i left my car (after letting it idle for over 2 mins)for about an hour and an half, while i went for a swift half (of coke) at the pub. When i started it up after leaving pub there was a pretty big puff of blue smoke from the exhaust any idea`s please? just one of those things maybe?

left car for another half hour after driving home and when i went out to start it up again there was no smoke at all.

 

My old scooby used to blow blue smoke on odd occasions,especially on steep hills/roads after starting from cold..Never ever had to top it up so perhaps its a scooby thing.

 

Slight rings gap to the bores when cold, when they heat up they expand and take up the gap and no more smoke.

So it definately doesn't smoke when you accelerate or if you sit at some lights for a while then take off?
