Hi,
With all this talk of the hot weather and det, Ive been a bit concerned about my 93WRX, I think its pretty impractical (and expensive!) to be adding octane booster all the time. Ive seen these Auuamist kits, the basic kit is basicaly an on/off arrangment activated by boost, costing about £350.
It claims to stop det, and even increase power.
Does anyone use this, know the score? It doesnt seem that expensive if it does what it says, cheaper than a new ECU and remap! and definatley cheaper than a rebuild
Can anyone please help?
Thanks, Rob.

Water injection is fantastic for controlling inlet temps, or to allow more, safer power.
This is an old 22b thread, but well worth looking at,

I am running a custom mapped scoobyecu and using water injection. As it has already been said the WI is great for safety when running higher boost and does help reduce DET as it lowers the inlet charge temperature.
