Intermittent drop in boost

I have a '94 wrx import that has an annoying problem of dropping turbo boost every now & again..... it just drops to 0.5bar, then picks up to 0.8 (normal) when it wants, this can be twice a day, or twice a week.
When it drops it has no kick up the backside so please help!
