Just an idea, I'm still using the original TDO4 and a TMIC.
But I'm keeping the TD04 so a FMIC has more disadvantages than profit for me.
But what about isolating the intercooler with a special surrounding like they use on airco-pipes and so ? Of course, the part that let the air flow must be open. But isolating the sides of the intercooler with that special alu-like cover must help to keep the temperatures down I think....

What do you guys think about this ???

Yeah, I was thinking about this the other day. should hold off a bit of heat soak from short in-frequent stops in traffic. I would imagine that long periods at stand still will still cause heat to get to the intercooler though.

Can't do any harm.. why not give it a go

I have done it to mine (my00). Not really noticed that much difference.

I did notice a difference however when i put some spacers under the tmic mount points (makes the i/c slope more forward.)

Felt a bit more lively
