Hi folks! I'm using an ITG panel filter in my scooby (MY00 UK) currently, but am thinking of changing to a K&N cone filter.

I know that this subject has been done to death, but from recollection the only real issue with the K&N induction kit was the possibility of MAF sensor damage due to vibration.

I remember seeing a reference to someone's K&N installation where they used a support bracket to brace the K&N, so it couldn't vibrate as much. Does anyone know any more about this? Or, is it not really a problem at all?

I have an K&N 57i induction kit on a MY00, it came with an L shaped piece of metal which bolts onto the header tank and the maf housing.

Look here Chiark has an install guide and you can see the bracket that comes with the kit.
