as long as you stick in the same details every time, you do not really need to worry about if it tallies up with this rolling road or that .find a decent flat/straight road and take the average from both directions, then whack the boost up and try again and again untill you strip third , eh banks

Interesting What numbers are you unsure about ?
Found a new toy which should be better than the ap22 as it integrates with rpm
http://www.gtechpro.com
I liked this bit "designed to make a professional test driver out of you"

Thought it was, but when i run the speed graph element of it, it shows just shy of 110 in 3RD, so there is something wrong IMO, because i know it cant do that

RPM:
Engine RPMs are sensed directly from the cigarette lighter voltage. No installation required at all with this true plug and play feature. The unique RPM feature is used for anything from realtime torque measurements to shiftlights.
cool.
Pricing: Gtech/Pro $139.95, Gtech/Pro Competition $249.95 plus shipping and handling.
Competition one is what we want - group buy?

Its a graph, and it is on my laptop at home, doh!!.
A while since i looked at it, but the figures matched up with Well Lanes PAW figure.
Still not got the headers on, so will do a run once they are on, just to compare.

I have the Gtech pro, and it isnt very good IMO.( the cheap version, not the comp )
The rubber sucker for fixing isnt great, and its a hassle having to plug it into the cigarette lighter socket. In some cars the lead is pulled tight. It isnt very easy to use either.
Looking at the pro/comp version, it still uses a similar setup.
It also only seems to do fixed times like
Reaction-Time
0-60ft time
0-330ft time
0-60mph time
1/8mile E.T and speed
1000ft time
1/4 mile E.T. and speed
Good, but it doesnt seem to have the variable settings that the AP22 has.
A rolling time of say 40-100 may be better for example, for back to back in gear comparisons, which can be done on the AP22 AFAIK.
I havent used either the AP22 or the Gtech ProComp, but I think the AP22 reads better, has more features, and would be easier to use, due to the fact it has its own power supply.
Oh damn..Ive just went an ordered an AP22...
