Clutch on way out
#1
Looks like my clutch is dying.
Major clutch slip at the weekend when trying a few ap-22 timed runs (actually on private land!!!)
I thought it was down to a really bad launch, but driving the car last night I noticed that raising revs to 5000 in 3rd with the clutch pedal down and letting the clutch in, the revs rose briefly and then fell.
So new clutch is looking a necessity, unfortunately a nice lateral performance organic isn't viable at the moment, need cheaper options.

I paid £86 incl VAT and delievery for a Borg and Beck clutch from here: http://www.autospares-group.com/, £120 to get it fitted and bob's your uncle
It's a decent clutch aswell, I've done a couple of full-bore starts and not a wiff of burning clutch, just the sound of all 4 wheels scrabbling for grip
