Will STi V intercooler allow...
..me to run more boost?
Current setup
94 wrx
HKS Hiper system with open neck d/p and my own splitter mod
ScoobyEcu module ( 1.1 bar )
HKS Induction kit
Lateral perf clutch and billet flywheel
I'm thinking about the sti 5/6 intercooler, obviously it's much more efficient than my tiny std one.
My 'question of the day' though is.. will it enable me to run any more boost?. I'm thinking there will be a performance advantage over std because of better charge air cooling but will the more efficient capabilities enable a higher boost target?
Now my car's been given a clean bill of health I'm up for it

yeah
That was you then..so may type R's about

went and got a boost gauge from ma services down teapot lane (visit there once a year). Got home, went to fit it and the gauge was faulty(needle 0.2bar low) so instead of taking it back I tried to 'fix it'
... one scrap boost gauge

i used to run 1.2 bar with a standard ECU and my set up(my95wrx with sti6 intercooler) with no knock at all.
so the answer is yes BUT you are best off asking David or Scott for there opinion as they mapped the chip
its also a good idea to get a knocklink and an AFR if you do not already have one.
