When replacing do you need to align the splines in the clutch and housing or just the hole centre?

If a `proper` tool not available can you suggest a substitue?

Is it OK to use the main flywheel bolt to `lock` the engine when undoing / tightening the flywheel mounting bolts?

Will the gearbox mainshaft clear the clutch assembly at the same time as the mounting studs - eg when the g`box is clear of the mounting lugs is it OK to start tipping it downwards; has the shaft released from the engine.

For refitting, do you align the mainshaft in the clutch first, and then do the lugs and bolts.....

Questions, questions.....Cheers!

I did mine by sight the first time, it may have been a fluke. The second time just made on up my self with a stick and tape.
