Just purchased the above and I am having some trouble in fitting it. Can any one tell me what which wires should go which wire on the ignition, as knowing my luck I will get it wrong and end up engaging the starter motor or something

I have a 98 STI4 by the way

 

There are different of mounting, one is the timer will active when you have your brake handle pulled, the second option is the timer will always active.
I have choose the second option:
Red- constant power
Blue + green - on the wire when you have the ignition on "on"
White - 02 wire of the ecu
Black - ground
Grey - ground

I have separate the ground wires!!

ok cheers for that, I am off next week so intend to have a go then. Will be in touch if I get stuck, Little bit dubious of connecting the O2 wire to the ecu as well

 

The apexi timer has built in a/f meter. That's why you need to connect the wire.
