If I take my standard STi V3 system and add a waste gate bypass tube to the suitably drilled turbo flange and run it down to the exit end of the downpipe cat, (welding it into the very end of the down pipe) will I have a benefit in power, but keep the MoT man happy in May when it is due? At minimum I should get a benefit when the gate opens?

don't think it's worth the hassle, get rid of the catted d/p altogether, it doesn't take long to change for the mot

Have done already, Magnex system turbo back. It was just a thought while driving home the other day. MoT coming soon , but the Magnex will come off real easy now so not too hard a job. Bitch to do in the first place though.....
Thanks for the comments, Graham

No problem to run a full de-cat, most will pass MOT if you just put a standard UK centre section with cat in for MOT time

Realy? Will give it a go as the task is a lot better than the full system!
Thanks, graham
