Question

...how does that work then. How / where do I feed the tubes to the boot mounted water bottle. Is it better to mount the bottle elsewhere.

Anyone???

Also, what is the difference with having a engine bay mounted bottle (Like the JDM Sti7) and a boot mount (like the UK)?

Presumably the pump works better in the engine bay with short hose, but the bottle will suffer from some heatsoak?

Finally, where in the engine bay does the JDM car mount the bottle?

Hi I have an STI water tank in the boot of MY97 UK ,its got the pump and water level sender unit built into it what I did was to use the gas line that Guinness use to pressurise their lines its 6MM clear for the water and I tie wrapped all the electric cables to it. Then feed inside the boot down by the spare wheel to the passengers side. Lift the plastic covers and carpet at the door sills and feed the lot up inside the door wells to the passengers footwell. There you can feed it out through the large grommet on the bulkhead up to the bonnet you can also split your cables at the footwell to your conrtols. I used 3 super bright LED,s Green ON, Red Empty, Blue Pump On.mounted on the plastic cover just above the gear lever. You can use a 1K 1/4 Watt resistor in series with each of the + side of the LED to reduce the voltage. hope this helps.

Very helpful, thanks.

Can anyone confim this route is applicable to the new shape car?

What about the engine-bay mount sti7? Where is the bottle located?
