Exhaust Question
#1
My 97 UK Turbo is running a decatted down pipe and Prodrive back box.
Is there any "benefit" from changing/upgrading to a better system (i.e. full system rather than adding bits to the original exhaust)?
I have in mind the TSL Afterburner Exhaust - but noise is always an issue - anybody had experience of the TSL system?
The car will have to comply with MSA regulations for noise emmissions.

Hi
Just thought I would mention that the "Afterburner" exhaust system is a Scoobyworld product.
TSL sell the "Firestorm"
I hope that helps!

hmm.. not sure about the msa bit.. I would go for a full system...
possibly scoobysport as they do a quiet version of their exhaust.

Hiya Richard.
I wouldn't worry too much about mixing/matching components. I also think you *may* find the TSL or Scoobyworld boxes a bit loud for MSA regs.
If you're thinking of adding a de-catted centre section, then I suggest a resonated item (magnex/scoobysport/etc) to mate up to your current tail-box.
Should give decent a decent performance gain without being too nosiy.
Squizz.
(PS - I could be talking out of my 'arris though )

Thanks Guys - great info, just what I am after.
I will keep with the current set up for a few months and then look at changing the system.
Squizz - how are you.
My Scoob is being finished this week prior to Loton Park 5th April (first practice session)!
PS Getting very excited

Ha! Found you at last! I'm at the Loton weekend too, but on the sunday so I can check your times........
I now have a full magnex system fitted, and although noisy I think it will pass the MSA test. Good luck, I will be on the startline on saturday so I WILL be watching YOU.(5000 rpm and dump the clutch!)
Graham.
