Took my STi V3 to Power Engineering yesterday to have the overboost sorted. The car would o/boost and fuel cut violently at 4500 rpm in the middle of a full blast, painful...
PE's Mervyn had the car on the rolling road and found the engine building a boost of 22/24 psi (1.6 bar!)no wonder it went so well!
I raced the car in this state all last year so I have been lucky with the pistons, clutch and box....

PE fitted a Blitz boost controller and some fresh cooler plugs and re ran the car on the rolling road. Distressing sound to hear your loved one screeming it's head (heads?) off.
The readout shows a real 314 bhp and a flat torque 'curve' from about 3500 to 6000, and no overboost on the road going home, though the M40 at 6.00pm is not the place to test for this characteristic!

Cost a fortune, but the job is done, and PE (my first visit, recommended by you lot)are a good bunch, even got a free lift to the Tube for a day in London with the wife (that's why it cost a fortune...).
PE also said that the engine was working on the absolute limit of it's injectors, what do I do about that?
