Does anyone know the weight of the following scoobs...

Just need the unladen(advertised) weight

UK classic
JDM Classic WRX - am I right in thinking there are a few weight saving items on these compared to the UK model, bonnet, boot, wishbones etc.
UK bugeye WRX
UK bugeye STI

Wanting to log data in performance logger and weight required

cheers

I thought the jdm standard wrx weight was around 1300 with the type r and ra being around 1270.

You can buy special ligther parts in the scoobyshop as a numberof companies are sellign carbon fibre replacements.

No idea on later weights, all I care about is that they are a lot more!

UK classic is 1235kg.
best bet would be to have a look in evo mag as it has most of this data.

IIRC the Bugeye STI8 is about 1500kgs (the same as a double decker bus). I think the STi 7 is lighter at 1450kgs due to less plastic on the scoop.

UK classic............1235kg(saloon)1270kg(wagon)
JDM Classic WRX.......1200kg(92 to 94)1280kg(wagon)....1230kg(94 to 2000)1300kg(wagon)
UK bugeye WRX 1385kg(saloon) 1410kg(wagon)
UK bugeye STI7 1400kg

Hope you dont want the weights for the WRX Sti's and StiRA's because they changed weight just about every year but they ranged from 1170kg for an early WRX type RA to 1300kg for a late WRX STiV/VI.

Well acording to the good book the STi Version IV weighs 1275kg and the type RA weighs 1245kg, so that makes yours 10kg more than a standard UK car
I know it doesnt sound right but those are the figures ive got ??

When i imported my STI5 Type R over to the uk on the bill of laden it had the weight down as 1174kgs and that was with a 1/4 tank of petrol.

Dont know how accurate their weighting methods are but would assume it to be pretty accurate.

Well I know that the classic uk scoob bonnet(hood) is around 27KG and the JDM classic WRX aluminium bonnet(hood) is around 9kg

Don't know about the boot but I bet there's a few kg's in that

I also know the JDM WRX has alloy front wishbones and the uk has steel

some RA's do have Electric windows.
They seem to vary a lot between versions... only way to be sure on the Jap ones is scales

May do it next time I'm at a westi meet

classic uk figures dont include aircon, which is circa 30kg
