93 WRX Lack of power starts to boost approx 3000rpm but turbo not coming on very strong.High pitch screach at approx 5000rpm(same speed as rs turbo)

Do you know what she is boosting at?? I had a similar problem when my BOV was rooted... The turbo was spinning up ok... but all of the boost was leaking away...

Sounds right to me - BOV or the gasket gone.
