As you may know from some of my other threads asking for help I've got a scoobysport back box and centre section going on the car next week, I will be starting to save the pennies for the down pipe now.

So basically what is the decision criteria for a downpipe, i've down twin dump and single dump and chocolate flavoured ones, whats the difference between them all and what would be a good decision for a 99 UK Turbo.

I also dont want to end up with an inferior pipe as I may start doing other things to the car later on. I was thinking of keeping with the scoobysport trend and then i've got a complete system with the same brand.

Also is there such thing a performance cat down pipe so that I may still pass emissions tests and gain performance? Or is it only worth doing with no cat at all?

I've got the full Scoobysport system, on a my00, sounds luverly and goes a lot better, I think Power Engineering do a d/p with a sports cat if you want one, pretty sure it'll pass with that, you won't like the price though!

got a ggr sports cat downpipe myself, just passed its mot, (sports cat is only cat on exhasut) performance is great, noticable improvement on throttle response spool up and acceleration, mind you they cost about £400 notes so they aint cheap

For that much more money its probably worth sticking with a straight through pipe and assing with the MOT! I'll be sure to put the pipe on straight after my MOT then i've got atleast a year before it has to come back off again
