Question

Thinking of purchasing a remus back box, is anyone using one?, do you like it?, how's it sound?
Can get them cheap and don't want big noise just a nice level but don't want to waste my pennies.

Please help.

Thanks

I run a MY 99 with Remus Back Box, rest is standard. Remus Back Box will only add a little bit of noice, inside the car you will not hear the different from an standard, outside a nice deeb tone. Remus come with TUV approval from Germany and this is accepted by the MOT in my Country.
If you go for nice tone and not to much noice Remus is the answer

Mine is a Remus 90mm double tip and sounds nice. A bit noiser than the stock one but much better (deep sound, especially when hot). Note: I'm running catless.

No intrusive at all and I can hear the exhaust now !
As it is TUV approved, yes it's quite restrictive ...

Question

Thanks for that.
What would be a good box to go for?
Planning on swop in the d/pipes but retaining the centre cat.

Price not really a problem. Quailty of sound and loud enough to enjoy but I do have to sit on the motorway sometimes.

I have a Remus backbox on my MY99 Turbo with Scoobysport downpipe + scoobysport centre.

Not too loud - had to swap out my scoobysport backbox for the remus as this was far too noisy/boomy/embarassing for my liking.
