CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY MY 98 STI ver4 TYpe R drops out of first gear when accelerating then backing off and why the gearbox feels notchy and also if changing the oil in the box for a different viscosity might help with the notchyness. It has just had a new clutch fitted and can sometimes feel a bit difficult to selct fourth gear and it sometimes grinds when dropping into fourth from fifth aswell.

God when I write it down sounds like the gearbox is shagged dont it mmm HELPPPP
