Question

Hi all,

I am going to fit a new stainless mid section (already got stainless backbox) due to the OME part has just started blowing and was wondering what extra BHP i might get?

oh, my car is an 96 WRX.

Welll - that would all depend on whether the new section is less restrictive (ie larger dia [to a point and I'm guessing this isn't the case as your fitting it to you current backbox] / less resrtictive mufflers / less or no CATs) or not than the OEM part - if it is then you may see a nominal increase of maybe a couple of BHP but it ain't gonna add a great deal more than that...

better to go for a decatted downpipe. this will give you some more power and in a 96 wrx. you might be lookin at a ball park figure of 10 - 15 bhp(am i talkin out my @rse here guys) due to the unrestricted nature of the downpipe.

cheers

big sinky

edited to change the year of the car DOH!!
