Put my boost/vaccum gauge in yesterday just wondering if someone could expalin to me if my reading is correct.
I have a green bar on my gauge for top and bottom of vaccum gauge(just before the boost mesuremnt) my reading is on IDLE half way should it not be up the top of the vaccum gauge ?
thanks and sorry if this is a stoopid question

If you're saying your gauge shows a vacuum on idle, that's correct. You'll the get the same anytime your turbo is providing no boost.

When its not running it should read 0 pressure, so it will be in the middle. Start the car and the engine pulls a vacuum so it will go down. On boost it will go past the idle position (middle) and go up ie posotive pressure.
