Happy Xmas to all.
I have a 97 scooby and its time for new spark plugs. I use Denso (IK22) but my mechanick said that the STI spark plugs are better.
They are NGK budget and they are #7 rated. Can i use this type for my car?

The NGK PFR 7 B will be fine for your car! (I assume it doesn't have more than 350 BHP) Adjust the gap to 0.7 mm, be carefull not to hurt the electrodes!

Mark why do you think that the PFR7B's are limited in power terms ... least I think thats what you are hinting at.

I think (I donīt have experiece with it) you probably need the 8-th with very high BHP.

I know the 7 works well, also in city trafic.

I use my car daily in traffic (75km at least).
I have measured in a dyno 280bhp with 36,9 kgm.For at least 10 days now when i pull off the acceletor i hear some "explosions" from the exaust and for that my mechanick said for spark plugs chance , but not use again Densos because they are many cars with problems after hard use with this type of spark plugs.
I have read in many posts that the PFR7B are great but i havent hear anything for STI spark plugs.
I dont now what to do any help please?

What exactly are STI spark plugs anyway??? Anyone know? Sounds like a big profit sale for Subaru to me?? How much are they?
