Tone, it was asked for plain and simple. There was a volume of postings in Non-scooby which made it a sensible move.

A projects forum is a good idea, IMHO, and is disparate from DIY. The balance of number of forums vs inappropriate places to post needs to be weighed, but a projects forum would get my vote with David as moderator so you can deal with all this ****e.
Nick.

Just seen the other threads...... . I think that 22b would be a good place for it anyway. Im getting a bit sick of all the muppets that are now evident on scoobynet. I remember back in the day i joined.............. ooops sorry just fell asleep .

Well im **** at both!!!!!!!!

Just woundering what the hell a house DIY forum is doing on scoobynet. I wounder if with scoobynet plus membership we should get a drill and sander instead of stuff to put on the car.

Group buy on wallpaper anyone..... great savings to be had .

this is David's original post back in June.

If you think it should be supported, eg a PROJECTS FORUM then say so, as it appeared to die a death very quickly.

Added my 2p.

A car DIY forum seems to be more "on topic" on a car related BBS, than a household DIY forum. That's not to say I don't see the reason for it (we have sports, computers etc anyway), but personally I would see the projects forum as having a higher priority, now that people seem to be *really* opening up the bonnet

Cool

David,

Your technical DIY threads would be very welcome on the 22b bbs.
Muppet control is not generally an issue over there.

Regards,

Moray
