Hello All,

I got myself a 2nd hand TSL d/pipe that now needs fitting

Rest of exhaust is standard but for TSL bb.

Is this feasible to do myself (limited knowledge, but can follow instructions)? If so who has any instructions/advice to help out?

Cheers

Robin

Exclamation

To be honest with you, the hardest part probably is getting the original pipe off in the first place as the bolts can seize (and remove the heatshield plus the intercooler).
You really need a ramp though if you want to do it properly so taking it to a tyre/exhaust place would be a better option in the long run (and you wont loose all the skin off your knuckles )

I think I agree with you Tony

One other question - lagging. I've read that some people lag the d/pipe. What is this for and do I need to get it done? Anyone?

Lagging is done to reduce noise from the downpipe a little, will not make much difference and will result in some raised temperature...

lagging is also a more efficient way of keeping the heat down inside the engine bay instead of the original (and heavy ) heatshield - it'll also give a slight performance gain
