Hi All
As per above - are there differences between v4 and 5 centre differentials? I'm looking at buying a v4 STi one to go in my Euro my00.
Cheers
Richard

I think you will have to change the rear diff as well to keep the ratios the same on the front and rear wheels.
IIRC, euro imports and STIs have a different final drive ratio.

As far as I know, the electric ctr diff is the same V3 - V6.
Install might be a bit tricky and watch the abs reaction...
Diff takes inputs from the handbrake too remember. It's got it's own ECU too...

The centre diff from the MY98 has a completely different shape as the MY99 one. (it doesn´t fit!) I am speaking about the euro spec cars, I think it is also the case with the STi models.

errr, bit confused by this one.
The outer casing is the same isnt it?
why would the inside have changed?
the person I would ask is pat.
If fitting to a euro car you need only make sure that you use the same transfer box. ie. 1.1:1 as the rear diff corwn wheel and pinion is 3.54 not 3.9 like your front one will be.
But then since you are only changing the centre diff, you dont really have anything to worry about.

Richard,
(if you can get some customers from Germany, it should be possible for me also!)
I know for 100% sure about the difference between MY98 and MY99, because I tried to fit a MY98 center diff in a MY99. (Without succes!)
