I'm thinking on replacing the backbox on my UK300 with a Firestorm or Afterburner. Was going to DIY as, from what I've heard its not that difficult I have acess to a pit and mechanically minded friends. Do I need to get any washers/nuts too if so what do I need & where should I get them?

Something to replace the gasket. That's it, unless you drop something
Gasket replacement can be either a 'real' one (Subaru dealer, £7ish I think), or the paste stuff from Halfords, etc. (£3ish).
I think the paste stuff works better, myself!

It's an easy enough job - I changed mine with ramps, a 14mm spanner and a 14mm ratchet, all in my lunch hour this Wednesday. Fast enough that I did it even though I knew I was changing the whole system (Turbo back) last night. Only problem now is stopping from driving around with a big grin on my face!
