Had the Hayward & Scott DP fitted today to the rest of my Magnex system... yoikes! Bit of a beast with a growl now - haven't really had the chance to open her up yet though...

Just one thing - I'm not entirely sold on the whistling noise. Will this decrease with time or is there any way of reducing/eliminating it?

Any comments greatfully recieved...

Forgot to ask - reckon I should reset the ECU again (it's an MY99 on optimax for the last 2 months)????

That whistling noise is there for good now mate.. if you lag the downpipe with some heat rap it will reduce the sound but you should just enjoy it like the rest of us

I personally dilike that whistle as well , but eventually agreed it was there for my own good ....

Anyone got any advice on the ECU? Been 3 days since the fit - will the ECU have characterised the new setup by now and adjusted the map(s) accordingly?
