just a thought, but when you fit a Front Mounted jobbie, the standard one comes out. however is it not possible for this to be kept as well ? ? and the pipe's run off of this ?

or do you have to remove it and fit those big shiny silver tubes ?

 

Short answer, no.
And why would you want to ?
You would still suffer the heatsoak problems by keeping the top mount when the car is idle.
