Posted on behalf of a friend:

I have a problem with my Sti-RA. 2-weeks ago the clutch pedal stopped returning once compressed above around 3500 rpm. The clutch doesn't slip and is relatively new (about 6000 miles). If I flick the pedal up whilst still above 3500 rpm I notice there is no resistance to pushing down again until it gets to the point of disengaging the clutch, which it seems to do as normal.

The car has been modified quite a lot (see www.sweet23.com/scooby ) but I wouldn't think any of the mods are causing this issue. The car is going for a service at Scoobysport in a couple of weeks but it would be nice to either understand the problem or even fix it before I get charged £xxx an hour for them to look at it.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Robert
