i use optimax and found it to work well, i have proven with dyno testing that it works so i'll stick with that. It appears to be the best fuel at pumps locally!

Some people prefer super plus, some prefer optimax. My experience is better fuel economy with optimax, but I think it runs a little better on SUL, though there's not a lot in it. Optimax allegedly "goes off" over time - i.e. loses Octane rating if it sits in your tank for weeks. Do a search and you'll find a lot of debate on it.

What no one will argue (I think!) is that either superplus or optimax is a big improvement on normal unleaded. My advice - If you can easily get either SUL or optimax, try them and make your own mind up. If one's much easier/cheaper to get than the other - use it. I use SUL mainly because there's a cheap local station, and I'd have to drive 10 minutes further to get optimax.

I get about 2 degrees more timing from Optimax than SUL, and 5 more than NUL.
