There should be a black and a green socket and plug DISconnected. These are for reading the diagnostic trouble codes and memories.
The canister is for emissions control. Worth checking on a routine basis - say at next service. This is probably a historical code on your car if you connected the black plugs and a present code if you connected the green plugs. Follow the instructions for a reset and see if it comes back.
A good proportion of codes arise from when work has been done on the car and it has been fired up again before everything is reconnected.

Code = 35
Sensor/Item = Canister purge solenoid valve
Error Description = Solenoid valve inoperative
ECU's built in Fail-Safe Operation = none
Err Its all goobledy gook to me where is my Solenoid valve? Is this gonna be terminal if I can't fix straight away? Come to think of it how do I fix it?

It only started after I had the lower dash off to fit a boost gague (sp) I found two conectors loose under the steering colum and connected them, Thats when the fault appeared. I was conecting the light for the gague and saw two more loose conectors I havent connected these and I have have disconected the other on SHould they be loose or should they be connected?
