Had my Firestorm fitted yesterday, after having it fitted, as you do, go for a drive. Whilst on my drive, there was a metal on metal noise, took it back to work and put it up on the ramp. The rear exhaust pipe is rubbing on the prop shaft, it seems to be sitting to high. Previous to this one, the last owner had a Magnex complete system fitted, the mechanic removed the back box, then fitted the Firestorm. This morning i phoned TSL to see if they do modified rear mounts, they were no help what so ever, i was told that i might have the rear hanger the wrong way round, (what difference would that make, i don't know). Then told me to phone back Monday

Has anybody else come across this problem before and is it easily sorted?

there's a difference in the hangers between old and new shape cars.
its possible the one you have is wrong, did you order the correct BB?
or could just be down to a poor job of fitting it by the mechanic (a lot more common with exhausts than you would imagine)
You should have gone to TSL and had them do the job, would have been spot on 1st time if you had.

plenty of people make a 200+ mile trip to TSL because they know its worth the effort (myself included)

Trouser (Paul) has been off this week but will be back Monday so thats probably why they asked you to phone back!

They were brillant when i ordered the bb, i ordered one for a classic shape. I'll give them a call on Monday and take it from there. Its a very nice bb from TSL, highly recommended.

If your able to, take a picture of the problem and email it to trouser, he should be able to see what the problem is then.
"a picture tells a thousand words" etc etc

good luck!
