ok, made a quickshift ages ago, and is great. however, i wish to make the shift even more precise, so was wondering if anyone makes the two bushes as an uprated item, polywhatever etc?

its the old shifter, early style

cheers

The later models have a slightly better linkage. or a quick shift from an sti or similar. Perhaps just new bushes?? although even mine arent noticeably worn, even with 130K on them. Some boxes do just feel better than others.

stevie. my box has only done 20 odd thousand miles. feels good shift dont get me wrong, just want it more positive feeling

kam, yes mate, that is the one! may get a universal bush also for the one that sits half way up the lever (selector arm bracket) from demon tweeks or something.
going to make an even quicker shift when i get round to it

cheers

Ian, the shortest shift I've ever tried is one from Jap innovations but that was just a lever with the fulcrum point moved. It was ****ing short but the connecting rod chaffed the rubber gaitor and eventually knackered it. I hear the B&M is very short as well. I've settled for a Prodrive shift which actually includes the whole linkage - not that short but very good feel. However, the link between the shifter and gearbox is different between Impreza and Legacy (rod end with bush is on the gearbox end on Impreza) so I've just used nut and bolt to jin them for now. Anyone with any good ideas to prevent any forseeable problems with this bodge?....

mine is a home made one. i moved the bracket up and rewelded it. to get around the problem of it fouling the rubber when i move it further up, im going to move the base down about 10mm by spacing the bracket attachment off the floor pan
