Anyone using HKS evc IV ??? Quick question
#1
When I fitted my evc I had a Prodrive bb on, (now SS) also only ran 1.125 bar, (now 1.3) my question;
Would it be of any advantage to re-do the 'learning' mode...given that things are slightly different now ?

I would, just to be on the safe side, not really got anything to loose by doing it.
I was running EVC IV on my yellow EVO V, not running EVC V on my new EVO6, very impressive peices of kit, just make sure you have the fuel sorted before winding up the boost too much.
cheers

Hi,
I think somewhere in the instructions it says you must redo learning mode after every performance mod.
It definately says that in my EVC3 manual. My bro's car has an EVC4 with a TD04 and even with octane booster I experienced det over 6000 rpm. Ickle turbos run warmer so more risk of det. So I turned the boost down to 1.2 and so far it's fine.
Just keep your eye out for it.
Cheers
