John Banks/Star Performance and P1
#1
Had John remap our ECU and Jim at Star Performance fit a mid and back section to an already fitted Magnex front box. The car felt so good we put it on Jim's dyno and got the results below.

Air temp at 63 deg ?? must have been a Sauna, seriously though if that was charge temp then the figures are a touch distorted as the correction should be applied to ambient air temp imho? Least thats how I have always done it. Plus 20bhp for temperature is sort of high.
300 ish plus whatever correction is still a "not bad" figure though so well done John.

Agree Bob re the temp (wish it was lower as it looks a bit fudged) and it is discussed a bit more in the thread above. Usually the correction figures on these rollers are a bit less - more like 10-15 BHP but it reads about 15 BHP less than PE usually.
Jim's temperature probe apparently when it fails takes out a whole machine with it which is costly (sounds odd but that is what happens). It is supposed to be an intake air probe and he used to put it before the airbox but no longer because of the reliability problems. Don't know where it was on this run.
