Unhappy

Just changed my exhaust system for a scoobysport one and seemed to have lost power!! When I hit 4,500 revs turbo seems to cut out for a second then comes back in but acceleration is sluggish!!
I noticed when they were fitting the exhaust the gasket they used to connect the back box to the centre pipe was slightly too small therefore narrowing the bore by about 5 millimeters as they did not have the correct one.
I know this is bound to be the problem, but would it cause the turbo to react in this manner??
I know that I should have said something to the guys that fitted it but I just wanted to get the system on so that I could go and have some fun!
Bad idea I know!!! Is it likely to have caused any damage or ecu problems??
Cheers in advance!
Justin.

It did actually feel like the clutch had slipped for a second or two, not nice, HELP!!
Doesn't do it every time I boot it though, just now and again.

agree with bruce. would expect that you are feeling the fuel cut due to overboost. caused by the lack of restriction to the rear of the turbo, and hence spins up a lot easier.

obviously cant say for definate it is, but it happened to me when i fitted my cat free system. you will need a fuel cut raiser to avoid it.

hey noticed your in chester, will be there either fri/sat if you want to meet, will be able to tell you what it is then..?

cheers

Cheers guys, I really hope it is this!! How much should I expect to pay for this device?
I would be glad to meet up with you Ian, I am actually from North Wales my self, living not too far from St.Asaph. Don't really like to be too specific about my location on the net if you catch my drift!
Maybe we could arrange a time and a place via e-mail??
Feel free to mail me at just100@btopenworld.com
Speak to you soon hopefully, cheers again,
Justin.

Sorry Ian, if you've tried to mail me I didn't receive anything!
So how much are these fuel cut raisers?
Are they easy to fit?
