STi-7 restrictor removal and replacement, step-by-step anyone ?

Hi guys,
I have read that some can remove the restrictor on the STi-7 and then replace a new one without having to take the I/C off. Can someone who has done this post a step-by-step with tools used as all I manage to do is rip the rubber tubing to pieces
