Hello

I have just fitted a new downpipe to my MY2000 turbo.
Its not as bad as everyone makes out.
Okay the nuts that bolt to the turbo are very very tight but once they are off its easy. The hardest bit was doing up the nut on the stud at the bottom of the turbo with the open neck style downpipe.

If anyone else is thinking of doing it themselves I would say have ago, but don't quote me on that!

Regards
Steve

You obviously did not come across any cross threaded bolts, over torqued bolts.

The 1st 3 times i did dwonpipes, POP, got too cocky, next 3 times had the above. Angle grinder, lots of swearing, etc, etc.

Speaking of torque settings...

how tight should the stud nuts on the turbo be?

Thanks
Steve
