A friend of mine has an MY92/93 WRX. He has been told that he needs a new system including downpipe. Is that regular with an import? Or could it just be the cat has 'gone'?
Anyway what systems can you recommend and approx how much would they be , and if poss suppliers.
How much would a standard replacement system cost?

Is approx 700.00 quid about right for a mongoose exhaust system cause that's what he's been quoted?

IIRC an MY93 car will be tested as a non cat car when it comes to the MOT time, so he may as well take advantage of this and get a full stainless steel system, and a de-cat.

All the usual suppliers have there own systems, Scooby Mania, Scoobysport, TSL, plus you have the Blitz, HKS, Mongoose, Magnex etc all avaliable as well.

 

£700 ish is about the cost of a full system, although if you want value for money the Magnex system is a good price
