Is a chip the same as a re-map ? and if this is done does it affect the reliabilaty. Being as I need the car on a daily basis. P,S, its a Sport MY 97

remap is much better, chip can be just a fuel cut raiser and bleed valve, some are crude and tend to be a rip off, id go for a remap any day.

oops, just noticed its not a turbo. you would have to check what sort of gains are to be had for your money really, not sure you would see too much difference on non turbo, and probably money best spent elsewhere. have you changed the exhaust/filter etc?

Magnex centre and back box looking at getting a ITG pannel filter soon, not sure if a power boost valve gives significant gain
