Hi,

Are there any differences in the downpipes for different MYs of the classic Impreza i.e. is MY97 the same as MY99/00?
I know the turbos are slightly different (3 different types?) on the older Imprezas. I am looking at getting a Jap-Innovations downpipe from a MY99 to fit to my MY97. Will it fit and if so, will it match up with my Magnex centre section ok?
Anyone had any experience of a J.I. downpipe?

I had a full HKS system from a MY97 put on my P1 (MY00). Not sure if this helps

Downpipes the same up to 01..
However certain downpipes have different flange sizes where the DP meets the centre section..
For example scoobysport have a 3" through DP and a 3" that reduces to 2.5" at the flange for centre section connection.. Rhymes

Was it your intention to mention the centre section connection

I've got a Magnex centre section with a resonator and a Magnex 6x4 back box. The Jap Innovations d/p is 2.5" (same as standard?) so that should connect up ok.
