Right just tried David Wallis' Lambda sensor in my car, or tried to that is. The connectors are different so it wont go in. See the pic, mine is the one with the white connector, Davids the yellowy colour. His seems to have more slots in his sensor, about 10, mine has 3!!

Anyway, **** it i am going to try and clean mine.

I have taken the boost solenoid off to clean it, but david said there are some connectors under the dash that you put together to purge the system.

could someone tell what coulour they are and where abouts under the dash, and what sequence i have to follow. i have two green ones that look as if they marry up under the drivers side.

i have also reset the ecu for when i have done this.

thanks in anticipation

steven

Question

Have you tried another Tek2 ECU in your car yet then to see if it's that causing the problem?

Just thinking actually... you can test the lambda with a digital volt meter and a blow torch..

Cheers folks, may try these.

i have done everything, cleaned boost solenoid, cleaned all tubes from theire to turbo and induction with brake cleaner reset ecu, cleaned out all intercooler pipes and ...........

......**** CHECK ENGINE light on dahs (soory very pi55ed 5 cans of stella and 2 bottlles of rde wien, oh **** where is backspace)

rgis came on during test run, all of 10 meters, the car had been idling for 10 minutes prior to this.

would not boost past .5 bar.

boollocks i nackered the lambda.

3 hours later, after thinking **** it i cant be ar5ed, remembered i had not reconnected the connector to the maf sensor. silly **** why did i take it off in the first place.

anyway when to a local garage and had them put it on the link thingy after i had blagged borrowing a lambda of a use dcar they had, and no difference. the link thingy showed no problems other than boost being up.

i think i will contact pe and ask for another tek2 to be sent!!

i always seem to have bad luck with cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
