Was considering cleaning my ITG panel filter and wondered if the sticky oil is the same as off road bike filter stuff. Was considering I could rinse it out with cleaner and then re-oil with silkolene bike filter oil - the obvious benefit is that I have all this kit to hand - but worry about MAF contamination.... anyone known what TSL, Scoobysport etc use?

It's not oil, and you can't re-oil it...or at least shouldn't if you want to keep your MAF

Cleaning is limited to removing the bugs and sticks with a bit of kitchen towel if you've removed your resonator. Otherwise replace it.

Thanks Dowser, when i said oil i meant 'oil'... the stuff you 'oil' bike filters is a liquid that is incredibly sticky and the 'oil' evaporates once the sponge is coated...

Still if you say the unit isnt cleanable then i guess id better leave it alone... :-)
